Supply Planning Manager

Summary:

We are looking for a  Head of Supply Planning to strengthen our Integrated Supply Chain and Planning department!

You will be responsible for end-to-end planning. This includes production planning to ensure the customers' requirements are met and inventory is maintained at optimal levels. The Head of Supply Planning is responsible for managing a team of Supply Planners to plan and distribute products from their supply source. You will be based in our Waalre office (Eindhoven area) reporting directly to the Head of Customer Service, Demand & Supply Planning.

 

What can you expect as a Head of Supply Planning?

Leading and developing a team to balance supply and demand in a constraint-based environment (capacity, labor, planned downtime, working capital, storage, etc.). You will be responsible for the development of the short through long-term production plan based upon various inputs and constraints that include the demand plan, factory capacity, labor, line rates, planned maintenance, holidays, capital installation, working capital, etc.

 

What else can you expect in this role?

  • Supports in developing tools and processes in establishing an end-to-end Planning department
  • Leads the S&OP Supply Reviews. Collaborates closely and effectively with Manufacturing and Scheduling to identify bottlenecks, excess capacity and provides recommendations for optimal resource management
  • Develops best practice processes for effective management of inventories, planning, planning systems logic and ongoing Supply Planning team development
  • Aids in inventory planning and coordinates with the replenishment planners in support of finished goods production. Analyzes inventory for shortages and expiring components to reduce waste. Monitors and reports inventory with respect to shelf life, target inventory levels and conformance to production schedules.
  • Collaborates effectively with the Scheduling department accountable for the finite schedule (daily and weekly finished goods) for multiple plants, while optimizing capacity, inventory and financial objectives
  • Develops and reviews capacities for short through long-term demand versus plant capability
  • Creates, implements, and monitors supply chain KPI's to drive business improvements
  • Identifies and continuously improves planning tools and process. Reviews finished goods for customer order shortages and notifies Customer Service, Manufacturing and Logistics, as appropriate
  • Facilitates new product rollouts and coordinates product discontinuations with relevant stakeholders and within the ERP environment
  • Works closely with the Demand Planning, Replenishment Planning and Material Planning teams, as well with Manufacturing, Finance, Customer Service and Procurement to ensure timeliness of information and data accuracy to avoid supply chain disruptions
  • Responsible for the timely aggregation and dissemination of reports and communications
  • Proactively manages and develops the performance of direct reports and team members through performance management, calibration, resource review and planning, capability, disciplinary, training and development

 

Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role): 

  • At least 5 years of Supply Planning experience, preferably supported by APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP)
  • Min. 3 year leadership experience and people management
  • Strong stakeholder experience
  • Knowledge and practice of S&OP and S&OE is a strong asset
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Highly analytical with practical experience in Excel and BI tools (Power BI)
  • Experience with using planning tools such as Microsoft Dynamics AX, QAD, SAP, o9, etc. Experience with implementation is a pre.
  • University degree (Bachelor or Master e.g. in Supply, Logistics, Business Administration, Business and Management, Technology and Operations)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all parameters, factors, inputs and outputs required to develop effective supply plans and drive best practice and process improvements
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English
