About The Role:

 

The Inventory Management Lead is responsible for analyzing inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste or improve customer service. The position will monitor inventory, and develop inventory strategies that align with the company's objectives. You will also monitor inventory performance, identify trends, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency. The Inventory Lead will help address short, medium and long-term outlook while managing risks and opportunities driven by demand and supply fluctuations, capacity constraints, and material limitations. By collaborating across various functions, the position drives process improvements and fosters innovation to optimize inventory levels governance adherence, and strategic alignment with company objectives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze material inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste or improve customer service.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators, conduct root cause analysis for inventory variances, and implement corrective actions to prevent future discrepancies.
  • Inventory monitoring, maintain targets including excess stock, slow moving and obsolete and reduction in stock.
  • Provide clear communication on business challenges, risks, and key decisions, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Modelling parameter setting, update and maintain the planning system.
  • Inventory forecasting.
  • Inventory reporting.
  • Excess and obsolete management.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Drive maturity and collaboration within supply chain planning teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Develop inventory forecasts with finance and measure performance.
  • Prepare inventory performance reports to management.

 

Skills and Experience Required

  • Education in the field of operations, supply chain management, business or equivalent years of experience is required for the role.
  • A certification in supply chain from APICS, certified in production and inventory management (CPIM) or lean is desired.
  • Hands-on experience working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and negotiate best alternatives is desired
  • 2-5 years working in similar or related roles is desired.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in demand or supply chain disruptions.
