Student Assistant – AI & Data Exploration

Role Summary:
We are looking for a Master’s student to support STG’s AI and data governance initiatives. The role focuses on exploring and prototyping AI opportunities using Generative AI, LLMs, and traditional ML, improving data readiness, and supporting business areas with early‑stage AI solutions.
- Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
- Working hours: 15h-20h per week
- Contract type: Direct employment
What can you expect as a Student Assistant at Scandinavian Tobacco Group? Your primary tasks will be:
- Explore and prototype AI/GenAI use‑cases within:
- Master Data Management (validation, matching, enrichment, metadata intelligence)
- Commercial (automation, insights, copilots)
- Supply Chain (forecasting support, anomaly detection, optimization opportunities)
- Build light LLM‑based agents, such as:
- AI Agent for Data Discovery – indexing datasets, metadata, code repositories
- AI‑driven Data Quality Checker – anomaly and inconsistency detection
- Conduct data analysis to evaluate feasibility and data readiness
- Document concepts, guidelines, and governance learnings
- Support AI research, rapid prototyping, and proof‑of‑concept experiments
Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matters the most for this role):
- Master’s student in Data Science, AI/ML, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
- Practical experience or strong interest in:
- Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Generative AI (prompt engineering, RAG, fine‑tuning, or agent frameworks)
- Python, SQL, and data analysis
- Understanding of cloud data platforms (Azure/Fabric) is an advantage
- Curious, structured, analytical, and able to communicate insights clear
- Nice to have: Knowledge of SAP and SAP Data Platforms (e.g., SAP BDC, S/4HANA, BW, or related data‑integration concepts)
