LEAD PACKAGING SPECIALIST

ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Packaging Specialist to join our global Operations and R&D team. In this role, you will lead the development, analysis, and optimization of packaging materials across multiple production sites, with a strong focus on sustainability, cost efficiency, and innovation. You will manage packaging specifications, support initiatives, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Procurement, and R&D.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Lead analysis and optimization of global NTM portfolio to identify complexity and propose saving initiatives.
- Initiate and manage packaging materials for NPDs via R&D, including supplier changes and contingency planning.
- Support ESG projects by analyzing material composition and proposing sustainable alternatives.
- Coordinate testing of alternative materials (packaging, supply chain, pallet stacking) with production and procurement.
- Push New Products & Changes approvals for new materials, supplier changes.
- Guide packaging innovation and testing methodology, including collaboration with production and quality teams.
- Represent R&D in meetings, manage global vouchers, and follow up with departmental teams.
- Maintain cost-consciousness in all aspects of packaging innovation and testing.
- Manage critical specifications and update technical sheets.
- Develop and update packaging standards and specifications.
- Perform other related and complementary tasks to your position and/or as required by your immediate supervisor.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?
- Professional in Industrial Engineering or related areas.
- Advanced English.
- Good knowledge of MS Office Package.
- 1 year of experience with packaging specification development and testing (preferred).
- Technical background preferred (mechanic/technician skills).
- Willingness to travel and work on-site at production locations (passport and driver’s license required).
