EHS COORDINATOR

We have an incredible opportunity for a EHS Coordinator to join our EHS Team. As an EHS Coordinator you will be responsible for the implementation of strategies and the preparation, execution, monitoring, evaluation and control of work plans necessary to comply with policies and procedures in the areas of Safety, Health, Hygiene, Environment and Loss Prevention. Ensure that the practices implemented meet the legal requirements of the company and the country.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Manage policies, standards and procedures related to safety and environmental regulations and laws and ensure compliance with them.
  • Develop, implement and follow up on the occupational accident prevention and management plan. This includes preparing a monthly report with results / statistics and specific actions to improve or eliminate risk situations and increase the safety of personnel and the company in a general sense.
  • Execute training and education programs for personnel in aspects of industrial safety, environment and loss prevention. Monitor their performance in order to achieve their objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy on handling and use of protective equipment.
  • Perform safety audits and inspections and carry out preventive and/or corrective actions in situations identified.
  • Periodically review emergency, industrial safety and/or environmental response plans.
  • Review all documentation received related to new chemical materials that are expected to be used in our facilities.
  • Assist the different departments in the creation, updating and/or dissemination of monitoring and control measures for processes involving environmental impacts.
  • Perform other duties related and complementary to your position and/or as required by your immediate supervisor.

 

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?

  • Graduated in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related careers.
  • Master's degree in environment and special studies in Industrial Safety and Hygiene or Sustainability (preferred).
  • Upper Intermediate English.
  • Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge in management of ISO, OHSAS (environment and safety) standards and audits, industrial safety standards, prevention of occupational hazards and losses. Knowledge of their respective regulations and / or local laws.
  • Minimum of one year experience in the area.
