Southeast U.S. Regional Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

Position is responsible for leading account managers to drive sales of mass market tobacco brands across assigned chain retail accounts (commercial).  Other deliverables include, delivering annual sales objectives/targets to plan through strategic programming; actively creating effective framework to accelerate volume/share targets through effective account planning; coaching and developing direct reports.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Increase distribution and market share of all Focus Brands within assigned geography annually
  • Define new opportunities and stretch targets for sales team covering key categories and brands
  • Consistently deliver against company strategies to expand market penetration / shipments
  • Provide inputs/insights to senior leadership concerning company initiatives and targets
  • Establish team goals, objectives and other performance metrics based on company objectives
  • Inform, collaborate, and interact with senior management concerning health and direction of business
  • Maintain and adhere to administrative due dates regarding tracking/completion of assigned projects
  • Work cross-functionally across key departments (marketing, finance, commex) as necessary
  • Adhere to sales budgets as assigned annually
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to develop direct reports and cross-functional team members

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3-5 years related work experience in CPG, specifically managing national chain accounts
  • Minimum 3-5 years direct report people management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong leadership, planning, communication/collaboration and analytical selling skills are required.  
  • Previous experience working within CRM / ERP / 3rd Party Data systems, e.g. SalesForce.com, MSA, IRI
  • Proficient computer skills required, including Excel, PPT
  • Proficient in synthesizing sales data weekly, including volumetric and dollar sales, to interpret and communicate downstream direction and communication
