Summary:

Cigars International is looking for an experienced, motivated, and proactive District Manager.  The District Manager leads the effort to exceed expectations, provide exceptional service and display a passion for our brand. They are responsible for conducting strategic business analysis and driving their store teams to deliver top/bottom line sales results. The District Manager ensures consistent visual and operational standards across all their stores. They ensure smooth, efficient, and friendly operations of our bars and stores within their district.

 

What can you expect as a District Manager at Cigars International?

  • Provides Management guidance and leadership to Store Managers and staff.
  • Manages direct reports including staffing, training, development, performance assessment, disciplinary actions, and succession planning. 
  • Ensures timely completion of annual performance appraisals; addresses associate problems and issues related to their work or environment.
  • Negotiating and resolving conflicts with employees and customers.
  • Controlling payroll hours, cash control, conducting store audits and monitor inventory shrinkage throughout the district.
  • Responsible for all activities of stores in assigned districts with an emphasis on maximizing sales and profitability.
  • Analyzing district sales results and trends to achieve sales increases and maximize sales and profits.
  • Develops sales and customer service strategies that maximize local market potential, promote brand awareness and drive customer loyalty.
  • Conducts store visits to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with company marketing/merchandising programs and high standards of store appearance.
  • Manages the execution of company initiatives and ensures compliance with company standards.
  • Evaluates, prioritizes, plans, delegates, administrates, and adapts to business needs.
  • Thinks strategically and understands the business.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and travel when required.
  • Oversee learning activities, curriculum, and resources while maintaining detailed records of the same
  • Develop operational standards in collaboration with other Retail Division leaders and incorporate new content into Training Infrastructure.
  • Assist the Division with the creation of individual Development and Career Plans.
  • Implement coaching sessions and mentorship programs to establish a culture of continuous learning
  • Recommend new training methods (including e-learning courses and game-based platforms

 

Also, as our District Manager, you will:

 

• Requires the ability to move around the store and maneuver merchandise when necessary

• Requires moving around the store to assist Customers

• Identifying and reading reports

• Requires recognizing, identifying, and knowledge of products

• Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items of up to 50 pounds.

 

Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):

  • Minimum 5 years of multi-unit experience in a luxury retail environment.
  • Bar experience is a plus.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to mentor and lead by example.
  • Successful track record in increasing sales, driving profits, and meeting company goals.
  • Strong merchandising and operational skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a working knowledge of profit and loss statements.
  • Proven ability to network, recruit, train, develop, and promote quality people.
  • Energetic, results-oriented, and competitive with a drive to succeed.
  • Ability to travel to stores.
  • College degree in Business Management preferred.
