Regional Account Manager - British Columbia

ABOUT THE ROLE 

We have an incredible opportunity for a Regional Account Manager to join STG Canada. As a Regional Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales of mass market tobacco brands across assigned commercial chain accounts.  Maintain focus on assigned accounts to proactively identify opportunities, improve customer service, improve business performance, quickly and effectively respond to business challenges with sound sales solutions, and partner with other departments to meet the customer’s needs.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure long-term success
  • Sell and execute company strategy and initiatives for regional chains within an assigned region
  • Ownership of volume targets, spending budgets and overall results within assigned region
  • Conduct sales negotiations with key accounts. Sets up schedules and appointments to service existing accounts and obtain new accounts
  • Work in tandem with field personnel; create assortment, pricing, promotional strategies
  • Serve as direct contact to field sales team on behalf of assigned distributor[s] to set strategy and sales expectations

 

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?

  • Prefer 5+ years related work experience in fast moving consumer goods, tobacco industry experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong planning, communication, and teamwork skills are required.  Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite required.

  • Extensive travel ~ 40%
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
