Light up your Career at Scandinavian Tobacco Group

IF YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT INTERNATIONAL SALES AND HAVE AN AMBITION TO WORK FOR A GLOBAL ORGANISATION, THIS COULD BE YOUR CHANCE.

Ignited by Challenge

Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) is an international FMCG company with operations in 20 countries on four continents with the vision of becoming the undisputed, global leader in cigars. Delivering quality cigars, pipe tobacco and fine-cut tobacco to our consumers ignites us every day. Our products are all about quality, and it takes quality people to make quality products. STG’S employees are united by their trust in each other, by their dedication to delivering outstanding results, and by the empowerment we believe people must be given to do their very best. What we do builds on centuries-old craftsmanship, but leading our industry takes new thinking and a readiness to challenge the status quo – are you up for the challenge?

Bringing Real Story to Life

The Rest of World Sales department is a vital part of how we gain insights in our consumers and markets. The team consists of 16 dedicated and highly skilled professionals, who are responsible for international sales activities through external partners in Asia, Middle East, Africa, South America and Europe.

As a student assistant you will help us with administrative tasks, coordinate customer events and gain market/customer insights. You should be able to solve analytical tasks in primarily MS Excel. This involves a great variety of tasks and working with a multitude of people from both inside and outside the organization.

Also, you:

  • Take ownership of administrative ad hoc tasks of the team
  • Coordinate and participate in customer visits and events
  • Manage our product designs in our approval system. This process is in close collaboration with our customers.
  • Create and manage BI reports
  • Create presentations in PowerPoints.
  • Support the business planning process with desk research on business opportunities, competitors, and key market stakeholders.

Challenging Status Quo

Being a world leading manufacturer of cigars and pipe tobacco requires new ways of thinking, which entails that we want you to use your business understanding to challenge us and our standards. To do so, you will work on many tasks simultaneously, and we believe that you are:

  • Preferably on your third year of your bachelor or about to start the first year of your master’s in marketing, economics or another relevant field.
  • A self-starter, who is comfortable with working with both strategic and administrative tasks at once, whilst still keeping to a deadline.
  • Comfortable with communicating with many stakeholders on different levels and cultural backgrounds.
  • An executor, who is quick to deliver, with a flair for numbers and familiarity with MS Office. It is important to us that you are experienced in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • A person that takes pride in details and is dedicated and meticulous, whenever you take on a project or task.
  • Looking for an opportunity to build relations across borders, functions and cultures.

We expect you to work between 15-20 hours/week, and we are of course flexible around exams. You should be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
