About the Role
As the S&OP Manager for the EU region at Scandinavian Tobacco Group A/S, you will play a critical role in aligning sales, operations, and supply chain processes to drive business performance and customer satisfaction. This leadership position requires a strategic mindset with the ability to manage complex demand and supply planning activities across multiple European locations. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our planning and fulfilment activities are executed efficiently while supporting our long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for the EU region, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts, production plans, and inventory management.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Production, and Finance to develop integrated and realistic demand and supply plans.
- Analyze sales trends, market developments, and customer requirements to anticipate changes and adjust plans proactively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular performance reports and actionable insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Global Operations and the Fulfillment and Distribution department to streamline order fulfillment and ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Manage relationships with key internal partners at the various locations including Copenhagen, Bremen, Carnaxide, Lummen, and Waalre to ensure seamless execution of plans.
- Support risk management by identifying potential supply chain disruptions and developing contingency plans.
- Champion best practices in planning and fulfilment while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Sales and Operations Planning, preferably within a multinational manufacturing or FMCG environment. Strong analytical skills combined with excellent communication and leadership abilities are essential for success in this role. You are comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing S&OP processes on a regional or global scale.
- Strong understanding of demand planning, production scheduling, and inventory management.
- Proficiency with planning software tools, ERP systems, and data analytics platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across various functions and cultural environments.
- Experience in leading teams and coordinating cross-location projects.
