ABOUT THE ROLE

We are on an exciting journey to transform our payroll operations across Europe. As we implement a new, unified European payroll platform and move towards an outsourced delivery model, we are looking to grow our European Payroll Team with a Payroll Specialist to lead the payroll agenda for Denmark and Sweden.

You will be a key member of our European payroll team, ensuring compliance, quality, and employee experience, whilst also shaping future ways of working. This role is ideal for a people oriented, solution focused, and change driver who thrives in complex environments, is passionate about modernizing payroll operations, and has great attention to detail.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Run day-to-day payroll operations for Denmark and Sweden. You'll be directly involved in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll execution alongside our outsourced provider, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Master the details of Danish labour laws, collective agreements, social security, and tax regulations in both countries. You'll be the go-to expert who can answer technical questions and ensure we stay compliant.
  • Build and standardize end-to-end payroll processes. You'll document procedures, create templates, establish controls, and ensure processes are practical and sustainable for the new operating model.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders (P&C, SDO, IT and Legal) and external vendors.
  • Prepare audits and internal controls by maintaining proper documentation, controls in close collaboration with compliance and finance teams.
  • Support employees and managers with payroll queries, escalations, and education about new processes and systems.
  • Actively participate change management and communication initiatives, to ensure a smooth transition and high user adoption
  • Be a part of the European payroll transformation project, contributing to the implementation of a new payroll platform and vendor model.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?

  • Hands-on experience managing payroll operations for both Denmark - you know the systems, the details, and how to solve practical problems
  • Deep, practical knowledge of Danish labor law, social security, and tax regulations that you can apply daily. Knowledge of Swedish regulations is considered a plus.
  • Experience working with payroll outsourcing and/or implementing new payroll systems is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in Danish and English
