Jr. Demand Planner
Job Title: Jr. Demand Planner             
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.          
                                                                                   
JOB DESCRIPTION

This administrative role focuses on collaborating closely with business teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, & Customer Service) to enhance the demand planning process and meet service level goals. Success is driven by refining monthly and weekly forecasts, gathering insights from various reporting tools, and maintaining clear communication among Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations. The ultimate goal is to maintain optimal inventory levels that support excellent customer service, efficient warehouse operations, and minimize unsalable stock.
 
SCOPE

The position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Global Demand Planning, receiving general guidance while performing tasks that are periodically reviewed.

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

Key daily responsibilities for the Jr. Demand Planner include:
- Designing demand planning strategies that apply suitable methods and align closely with business functions.
- Leading the forecasting process in partnership with commercial teams to develop the most accurate demand plans, combining statistical data with sales insights.
- Producing and evaluating monthly forecasts, while monitoring and improving forecast accuracy.
- Coordinating demand planning segmentation to align with supply-side segmentation.
- Managing Phase-In (new products) and Phase-Out (discontinued or slow-moving items) processes to prevent finished goods obsolescence.
- Supporting the S&OP process by delivering demand planning outcomes and ensuring alignment across business units.
- Creating and documenting standardized planning procedures with an emphasis on global best practices.
- Actively engaging in the development and rollout of forecasting-related information technology initiatives.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
- In-depth knowledge of product lines, including how new products, sales programs, and industry trends affect forecasting.
- Thorough understanding of Supply Chain, Production, and Inventory Control principles and their impact on planning, scheduling, and procurement.
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Effective team player.
- 2-4 years of experience in Demand Planning or Supply Chain roles.
- Willingness to pursue APICS certification.
 
EDUCATION:

- Degree in Logistics, Business, or Finance.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- APICS certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of the e-commerce and Retail sectors is advantageous.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and general forecasting tools.
- Skilled in data management and analysis using SQL, Business Objects, and/or Microsoft Access.
- Preferably 2-4 years’ experience collaborating with Sales and Customer Service teams.
