Summary:
As the Functional MDG Lead, you will be responsible for leading the implementation, configuration, customization, and ongoing support of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) and SAP Data Quality Management (DQM). You will be a part of the Data Governance & Insight team and report directly to the Data Governance & Insights Manager.
What can you expect as the Functional MDG Lead at Scandinavian Tobacco Group?
This role involves close collaboration with the governance team, and business and IT stakeholders to ensure that SAP MDG and DQM implementations are aligned with the organization's data governance framework and business objectives, leading to improved data quality, operational efficiency, and decision-making.
Your primary tasks will include the following:
• Develop and execute strategic plans for SAP MDG and DQM implementation aligned with organizational objectives
• Lead the technical MDG project team, including internal resources and external consultants, ensuring project milestones are met within budget and timelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders across different functional areas (such as Finance, Sales, Procurement, and HR) to understand and document governance requirements
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for MDG and DQM solutions
• Lead the configuration, customization, and testing of SAP MDG modules to meet business requirements, including data models, workflows, user interfaces, and data replication scenarios.
• Ensure effective integration of SAP DQM with MDG for data quality monitoring
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of MDG and DQM with other SAP and non-SAP systems
• Facilitate training programs for end-users and data stewards
• Support ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancements of MDG and DQM systems
• Contribute to SAP implementation activities in general
Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
• At least 8+ years of experience in implementing and managing SAP MDG and DQM in large organizations
• Deep understanding of master data management principles, data governance practices, and relevant SAP modules (such as SAP ERP, S/4HANA).
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent communication and project management skills
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to analyze and resolve complex technical challenges
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead and motivate teams, coupled with a proactive and accountable approach to work
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proficient in both written and verbal English
