Operational Treasury & Accounts Receivable Lead
LOCATION - Lisbon, Portugal

ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an incredible opportunity for an Operational Treasury & Accounts Receivable Lead to join our Solution Delivery Organisation (SDO) team in Lisbon. As an Operational Treasury & AR Lead, you will be responsible for day-to-day treasury tasks, collections, accounts receivable reconciliations and non-commercial billing, establishing collections targets, treasury efficiency, and supervising the monthly accounts receivable closing tasks like bad debts calculations. Your network will be made up of various teams such as Group treasury, customer service, sales, and accounting teams.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Build a strong, engaged and efficient team, ensuring effective people management (8 people currently) and development of the team
- Manage operational treasury tasks like bank accounts reconciliation, payments and cash management, cash pooling, credit cards, short-term cash flow forecast, customers’ credit limits and credit policy in coordination with Group Treasury
- Set a collections strategy alongside objectives and KPIs and animate them daily, in coordination with the collections’ supervisor responsible for the collections team
- Oversee accounts receivable month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines, for example for bad debts provisions or revenue accruals in coordination with the record-to-report and accounting teams
- Escalate and lead the resolution of technical and operational issues in coordination with other teams: record-to-report, customer service, sales, SAP teams, etc.
- Maintain and improve our Accounts Receivable, Collections and Treasury analytics reports with the support of our business intelligence team
- Ensure internal controls are performed in a timely manner and with accuracy
- Coordinate the audit requests and responses as required from local or Group auditors
- Lead the improvement of the treasury and accounts receivable processes through SAP optimisations or proposed process improvements, in coordination with SAP teams, treasury and quote-to-cash global process owners
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?
- Total relevant experience of 8-12 years with previous leadership experience
- Solid knowledge of SAP, preferably SAP S4/Hana
- Good accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
- Strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills
- The ability to be both strategic to establish a vision and operational to help the team
- A builder mindset and proactivity to improve processes and the SDO project as a whole
