JOB TITLE - Asset Accounting Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE -
We have an incredible opportunity for an Asset Accounting Officer to join our Accounting & Closing Team. As an Asset Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for performing the company’s asset accounting processes and managing the entire lifecycle of assets, from acquisition to disposal. This position involves maintaining accurate asset records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize asset management processes.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

Asset Management and Accounting: handle asset capitalization, adjustments for GAAP/IFRS, transfers, disposals, and depreciation processes in SAP S/4 HANA.

Asset Reconciliation and Compliance: perform monthly reconciliations, ensure accuracy in asset postings, and maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Lease and Physical Asset Verification: maintain leases (IFRS 16), execute monthly lease clearing, and support physical asset verification, consolidating discrepancies and determining adjustments.

Process Improvement and Efficiency: identify inaccuracies, propose improvements in asset management processes, and collaborate with R2R GPO for enhanced workflows.

Training and Development: participate in S4 HANA-related training and engage in continuous development activities to align with functional and technical requirements.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?

Education: BSc/BA in Accounting and Finance.

Experience: 1–2 years in asset management, fixed asset accounting, or similar roles.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4 HANA) and asset management software.

Accounting Expertise: Knowledge of asset accounting standards, including IFRS 16.

Soft and Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and strong teamwork abilities.
