Accounts Receivable Lead

LOCATION - Lisbon, Portugal

HOURS - 40 hours

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an incredible opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Lead to join our Solution Delivery Organisation (SDO) team. As an AR Lead, you will be responsible for collections and non-commercial billing, establishing collection targets, ensuring timely and accurate collections, and supervising the monthly AR closing tasks like bad debts calculations.  Your network will be made up of various teams such as customer service, sales, treasury and accounting teams.

 

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Build a strong, engaged and efficient team, and ensure effective people management and development of the team
  • Set a collections strategy alongside objectives and KPIs and animate them daily
  • Escalate and lead the resolution of technical and operational issues in coordination with other teams: customer service, sales, SAP teams, etc.
  • Oversee AR month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines, for example for bad debts provisions or revenue accruals in coordination with the record to report team
  • Maintain and improve our AR analytics reports with the support of our business intelligence team
  • Ensure AR internal controls are performed in a timely manner and with accuracy
  • Coordinate the AR audit requests and responses as required from local or Group auditors
  • Lead the improvement of the Quote to Cash process as a whole through SAP optimizations or proposed process improvements, in coordination with SAP teams and Quote to Cash global process owners

 

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?

  • Total relevant experience of 5-8 years with at least one previous leadership experience
  • Solid knowledge of SAP, preferably SAP S4/Hana
  • Strong understanding of the Quote to Cash process and related business impacts
  • Strong communication, leadership and decision-making skills
  • The ability to be both strategic to establish a vision and operational to help the team
  • Proactivity and a builder mindset to improve processes and the SDO project as a whole
