We’re Hiring: HR Generalist – People & Culture (Sri Lanka)

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding

Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, CV screening, interview coordination, and preparation of offer letters

Partner with hiring managers to ensure timely and effective talent acquisition

Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth and engaging employee experience from day one
Payroll & Benefits Administration

Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, statutory deductions, and employee benefits

Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS system with high attention to detail

Liaise closely with Finance to ensure timely payroll disbursements and reconciliations
HR Documentation & Reporting

Maintain employee personal files and ensure accurate record-keeping in compliance with company and legal requirements

Prepare and submit monthly HR reports and statistics to support management decision-making
Attendance & Absenteeism Management

Prepare and submit daily attendance reports to support payroll processing

Monitor absenteeism trends and implement initiatives to improve attendance in line with KPIs
Statutory Compliance & Employee Benefits

Ensure timely and accurate employee registrations with the Labour Department and other statutory bodies

Support compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Employee Insurance & Claims Administration

Assist employees with Workmen’s Compensation Insurance (WCI) claim submissions

Ensure all claim documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within required timelines
Key Requirements

3–4 years of solid HR experience, preferably as an HR Generalist

A Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or an equivalent professional qualification

Hands-on experience in payroll preparation and HRIS systems
-
Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential

Strong proficiency in MS Office applications

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills
-
Experience in a large-scale, industrial, or manufacturing environment will be a strong advantage
