We’re Hiring: HR Generalist – People & Culture (Sri Lanka)

Are you a passionate HR professional who thrives in a dynamic, people-focused environment? We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist – People & Culture to join our team in Sri Lanka. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across the full HR lifecycle and contributing to a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, CV screening, interview coordination, and preparation of offer letters

  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure timely and effective talent acquisition

  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth and engaging employee experience from day one

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, statutory deductions, and employee benefits

  • Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS system with high attention to detail

  • Liaise closely with Finance to ensure timely payroll disbursements and reconciliations

HR Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain employee personal files and ensure accurate record-keeping in compliance with company and legal requirements

  • Prepare and submit monthly HR reports and statistics to support management decision-making

Attendance & Absenteeism Management

  • Prepare and submit daily attendance reports to support payroll processing

  • Monitor absenteeism trends and implement initiatives to improve attendance in line with KPIs

Statutory Compliance & Employee Benefits

  • Ensure timely and accurate employee registrations with the Labour Department and other statutory bodies

  • Support compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements

Employee Insurance & Claims Administration

  • Assist employees with Workmen’s Compensation Insurance (WCI) claim submissions

  • Ensure all claim documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within required timelines

Key Requirements

  • 3–4 years of solid HR experience, preferably as an HR Generalist

  • A Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or an equivalent professional qualification

  • Hands-on experience in payroll preparation and HRIS systems

  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills

  • Experience in a large-scale, industrial, or manufacturing environment will be a strong advantage
