About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to lead local sourcing operations for our Sri Lanka manufacturing site. This role is pivotal in driving cost-effective procurement strategies while ensuring alignment with our Global Procurement policies and governance. The successful candidate will manage end-to-end sourcing activities — from supplier identification and contract negotiation to onboarding and performance management — across a diverse range of categories including services, indirect spend, technical materials, and spare parts.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize Procurement’s deliverables
- Identify and Evaluate Suppliers: Research and identify prospective suppliers and manufacturers.
- Develop and negotiate contracts with new suppliers and/or renegotiate existing contracts to accomplish the lowest TCO and savings objectives
- Responsible for maintaining sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships
- Responsible for creating cost estimates and expenditure forecasts in collaboration with other departments
- Evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement strategies to management for approval
Conducts assigned sourcing activities using best practices to meet customers’ quality and delivery requirements at reasonable prices - Works with suppliers and internal departments to promptly resolve potential disruption or issues and to ensure a continuous and secure supply of material and services
- Responds to internal and external requests for information and guidance
- Communicates timeline and constraints accurately to all involved in the purchasing and supply chain process
- Maintains the highest ethics and standards in conducting procurement functions
Who we are looking for:
A procurement professional who can inspire commitment to new approaches and drive meaningful change across sourcing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and risk management capabilities, paired with sharp negotiation instincts and superior program and project management skills. Advanced analytical thinking is essential, as is hands-on experience with procurement technologies such as ERP systems, S2P platforms, spend cubes, and savings tracking tools.
Experience and Skillset:
- 2 to 5 years of minimum experience in purchasing role, preferably in a Technical Manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Business spend management and SAP knowledge would be beneficial
- Advanced MRP/ERP knowledge, as well as a working knowledge of supplier contract maintenance and sourcing techniques is highly preferred
- English (Spoken/Written): B2 and above
