Warehouse Specialist - 3 am to 11:30 am OR 11:30 am to 8 pm

Summary:

The Warehouse Specialist facilitates the timely processing of purchase orders into our state of the art 200,000 square foot humidified warehouse. This position works closely with Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Accounts Payable to support our daily multi-channel business needs, including but not limited to premium cigars and pipes. A successful candidate will demonstrate keen attention to detail, superior organizational skills and a strong competency to learn advanced systems and tools.

Hours:

  • 3 am to 11:30 am OR 11:30 am to 8 pm

Responsibilities:
•    Ensure all orders are processed correctly and shipped in a timely manner and wave orders in system when necessary.
•    To pinpoint why a completed package has been rejected by cross referencing the pack slip to the items in the shipping box. Once identified, the specialist should correct the mistake by replacing the incorrect item, guaranteeing the order is accurate before shipping to the customer.
•    Must be able to work through inventory issues to assess why orders have not been processed
properly.
•    Ability to work with the Inventory and Fulfillment team to make sure that all orders are processed correctly and in a timely manner.
•    Ability to work with the Customer Service department to verify cancellations, shipping methods & order prioritization
•    Ability to identify issues related to the product and determine if the product should be shipped to the customer
•    To ensure that product that has been flagged in the system is inspected before it is shipped out to the customer to confirm the quality of the product

Requirements:
•    HS Diploma or GED and 1-2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Technical agility to learn new tools, technology, and processes.
•    Detail oriented with an ability to perform quick and accurate data-entry.
•    Ability to produce on-time quality deliverables in a deadline driven environment while balancing multiple priorities.
•    Excellent communication and interaction with internal staff, external carriers, and supplier distribution resources.
 
•    Strong organizational skills with a high degree of motivation and self-direction.
•    A goal-driven mentality focused on achieving key metrics determined by the organization.
•    A general understanding or willingness to quickly learn the premium cigar and pipe industry.
•    MS Office Proficient: Word, Excel, Outlook.
•    Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and Manhattan SCALE is a plus.
