SEO Associate

ABOUT THE ROLE…

As an SEO Associate, you will play a key role in driving organic growth across multiple eCommerce websites in the premium tobacco category. This position offers the opportunity to flex and hone your SEO skills while working closely with business units and contributing to strategic discussions. You will lead biweekly strategy/content sessions with business units, execute SEO initiatives, and provide actionable insights through reporting and analysis.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn, with a strong foundation in SEO best practices and a passion for delivering measurable results.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

  • Lead biweekly SEO strategy/content sessions with business units, ensuring alignment with overall SEO goals.
  • Execute on-page and technical SEO tasks, including keyword research, content optimization, and site audits.
  • Build and maintain SEO reports and dashboards; analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Conduct competitive research and analysis using tools such as Similarweb, Conductor, SEMRush, etc. to track market share and identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with content, merchandising, and development teams to implement SEO recommendations.
  • Monitor site health and identify issues related to indexing, crawlability, and technical performance.
  • Stay current on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices; share insights with the team.
  • Support the SEO Manager with ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in SEO or digital marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
