 What are we looking for?

Scandinavian Tobacco Group Benelux is looking for a Field Sales Manager based in the Netherlands. As Field Sales Manager, you will lead the field sales team, spending about 75% of your time out of the office. It is your goal to motivate and enthuse the team so that the commercial skills are at their best. We are looking for candidates with a commercial attitude who are solution and result oriented. We offer you a challenging and varied position in which you will coordinate both commercial and operational aspects within the Sales Benelux team. In this position you will report to the Country Director Benelux.

  Your main tasks are:

  • Leading and motivating a team of 11 Sales Representatives to achieve the set sales targets.

  • Setting and monitoring of team and individual targets

  • Preparing and organizing the team's sales activities

  • Improving performance through coaching on the job/travel days and planning training sessions

  • Monitoring market developments and in cooperation with Trade Marketing adjusting internal and external activities accordingly.

  What do you need to be successful in this position?

You are independent, enterprising and proactive. You have a clear way of communicating. You are able to motivate and coach the team, but also to adjust where necessary. You also have a result-oriented attitude and possess good analytical skills. You understand how retail works and enjoy being with our customers, where it all happens. You are a people person with an empathic attitude, a real team player who knows how to build relationships.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

  • 3-5 years of experience of leading high performing teams in a similar role in field sales position

  • Previous experience working in an FMCG company would be advantageous

  • Experience with leadership and sales coaching on the job.

  • Knowledge of MS Office, Salesforce

  • Bilingual NL/ENG in word and writing.
