About the role

Are you passionate about securing our complex SAP landscape while enabling our business to operate confidently in a rapidly evolving digital environment? We are looking for an experienced SAP Security Lead to drive the design, governance, and execution of SAP security strategies across our S/4 HANA landscape.

As the SAP Security Lead, you will serve as the subject matter expert for SAP security, partnering with business stakeholders, IT teams and auditors to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient access management across our SAP ecosystem.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

As a SAP Security Lead, you will:

 

  • Define and oversee SAP security standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Lead the implementation, and maintenance of SAP roles, authorizations, and user access controls with the support of several security supporters located in the Dominican Republic.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, segregation of duties (SoD), regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Partner with business process owners and technical team leads to understand access requirements and translate them into secure authorization solutions.
  • Drive SAP security initiatives across SAP S/4HANA, SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, SAP IAG, SAP IAS, and other relevant SAP applications
  • Perform risk assessments and proactively identify security vulnerabilities and remediation opportunities.
  • Lead periodic user access reviews, security audits, and compliance activities.
  • Support SAP projects, upgrades, transformations, and migrations by embedding security best practices throughout the lifecycle.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, access-related issues and requirements, and emerging SAP security threats.
  • Stay current with SAP security trends, technologies, and industry best practices.

  • Deep understanding of SAP authorization concepts, role design methodologies, and access governance.
  • Experience building scalable security models that balance compliance, usability, and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a risk-based approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience working in global, cross-functional, and complex environments.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for security and operational excellence.

 

Requirements:

 

Education & Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in SAP Security and Authorization administration.
  • Proven experience supporting SAP implementations and enterprise security programs.

 

Technical Expertise

 

  • Strong experience with SAP Security and Authorizations in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with SAP Fiori security, OData services, and role management.
  • Understanding of SoD controls and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with audit frameworks, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with user provisioning, access certifications, and governance processes.
