Assistant General Manager, United States / Retail Operations

Are you a retail leader who thrives on delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business results? As our new Assistant General Manager, you will support store operations, develop high-performing teams, and help grow one of our world-class brands. You will work closely with the General Manager and retail associates to achieve commercial objectives while maintaining outstanding service standards.

What your day will look like

  • Drive store performance by supporting sales, profit, and business development goals.
  • Coach, develop, and hold retail team members accountable for customer service, merchandising, and product knowledge standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day store operations, including scheduling, labor management, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor store systems and facilities to ensure safe and effective operation.
  • Track progress against store objectives and collaborate with the General Manager on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support bar operations and provide hands-on customer engagement throughout the store when required.

What you'll bring

  • Minimum 2 years of management experience, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is an advantage.
  • Ability to analyze data, manage priorities, and coordinate store operations effectively.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and team motivation skills.
  • Knowledge of cigars or the cigar industry is an advantage but not required.

For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from $55,000 to $60,000/yr corresponding to the level of the position, expected experience and responsibilities.
