Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to take ownership of closing activities across multiple European entities? Do you want to play a key role in a multinational finance organization? Then you might be the person we are looking for.
As our new Senior Accountant, you will be part of our Finance – Record to Report (R2R) team and play an important role in executing month end, quarter end, and year end closing activities across multiple European entities, reporting directly to the EU Closing Supervisor. You will work closely with Finance, Controlling, Tax, Treasury, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality accounting and reporting services within a multinational environment. What your day will look like
In this role, you will typically focus on:
- Executing month end, quarter end, and year end closing activities for assigned European entities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reviewing profit and loss accounts, investigating variances, and ensuring accounting records comply with IFRS, local GAAP, and company policy.
- Managing general ledger accounts and supporting intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
- Executing key financial controls and supporting internal and external audit requests with schedules, reconciliations, and evidence.
- Collaborating with Business Finance, Controlling, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and local finance teams as a key contact for accounting matters.
- Identifying opportunities to improve and standardize accounting processes, and contributing to automation and finance transformation initiatives.
What you'll bring
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in Accounting, Record to Report, General Ledger, or Financial Reporting roles.
- A strong understanding of month end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and IFRS.
- Strong knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent), and experience with Cognos or BlackLine, are an advantage.

For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from €26,250 to €44,000 corresponding to the level of the position, expected experience and responsibilities.
