As our new Retail Lead, you will be part of our retail operations team and play an important role in supporting the day-to-day management of store operations, employee performance, and customer engagement. You will work closely with the Store Manager and retail associates to drive sales, optimize operational efficiency, and deliver world-class customer experience. This is a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills while contributing to the growth and success of a premier retail organization.

What your day will look like

In this role, you will typically focus on:

  • Support the development and execution of business strategies that drive brand growth and financial performance.
  • Assist in setting performance expectations and objectives for retail sales associates.
  • Coach and educate team members on company goals, customer service standards, visual merchandising requirements, and product knowledge.
  • Oversee daily retail operations and ensure store routines are executed efficiently.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets and profitability goals.
  • Monitor store expenses and support adherence to budget objectives.
  • Create and manage employee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
  • Track store performance metrics and drive accountability for results.
  • Execute and oversee all store operational activities to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Motivate and engage team members to achieve their personal and professional goals.
  • Manage labor hours in alignment with established wage and staffing targets.
  • Assign and monitor daily operational responsibilities and deployment positions.
  • Ensure store systems and facility equipment are functioning properly, including lighting, HVAC, humidification, water treatment, plumbing, alarm, and surveillance systems.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador by delivering exceptional customer experience and maintaining a professional retail environment.

What you'll bring

Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to input, retrieve, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Hands-on approach with a commitment to operational excellence.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and support retail operations.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Experience leading teams, coaching employees, and driving performance in a retail environment.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within premium retail, luxury goods, specialty products, or similar customer-focused environments.
  • General knowledge of cigars and the cigar industry preferred but not required.
