Role Summary
The Global Brand Manager – Nicotine Pouches is responsible for driving the development, execution, and performance of the global brand and portfolio strategy within the nicotine pouch category.
This role combines innovation, product development, portfolio management, and commercial excellence to deliver sustainable growth across international markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating consumer insights into winning products, optimizing portfolio performance, and supporting the continued expansion of STG’s Next Generation Products business.
• Location: Copenhagen, Denmark (Preferred) / European Hub
• Travel: Approximately 20% across key markets and external partners
• Department: Marketing – Next Generation Products
• Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract - 12 Months
What can you expect as a Global Brand Manager – Nicotine Pouches at Scandinavian Tobacco Group? Your primary tasks will be:
Innovation & Product Development
• Drive the development of new nicotine pouch products, including flavors, strengths, formats, and packaging solutions
• Lead the stage-gate innovation process from concept creation through commercial launch
• Translate consumer insights, market trends, and customer feedback into compelling product concepts
• Partner with Research & Development and other key stakeholders to bring innovations to market successfully
Portfolio Strategy & Management
• Execute the global portfolio strategy across brands and markets
• Optimize SKU assortment and pricing architecture to maximize growth and profitability
• Manage the full product lifecycle, including launches, renovations, and product discontinuations
• Ensure the portfolio remains relevant, competitive, and aligned with consumer needs
Brand Development
• Support the development and execution of global brand positioning and value propositions
• Contribute to the creation of brand growth plans and innovation pipelines
• Ensure consistency in brand strategy and product propositions across markets
Commercial Performance
• Partner with regional and local teams to drive brand and category performance
• Monitor key performance indicators, including market share, volume, revenue, and profitability
• Identify growth opportunities and recommend actions to improve business performance
Consumer & Market Insights
• Analyze consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive activity
• Utilize data and insights to support strategic decision-making and innovation priorities
• Monitor category developments and emerging opportunities within the nicotine pouch market
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with Sales, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and other key stakeholders
• Ensure alignment between global strategies and local market execution
• Support effective project management across multiple initiatives and markets
Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matters the most for this role):
Experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing, Brand Management, or Product Management
• Experience within FMCG, consumer goods, or adjacent categories is preferred
• Proven track record of driving brand growth and delivering commercial results
• Experience managing innovation projects and product development initiatives
Technical Knowledge
• Strong understanding of brand strategy, portfolio management, and product development
• Experience leading complex projects across multiple functions and stakeholders
• Knowledge of consumer insights methodologies, market analysis, and business performance metrics
• Understanding of category management, pricing strategies, and portfolio optimization
Commercial & Strategic Skills
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to connect brand strategy to business performance
• Strategic thinker with an international and consumer-focused perspective
• Ability to assess opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and drive execution
• Strong analytical capabilities and data-driven decision-making skills
Leadership & Collaboration
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across functions and regions
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
• Master’s degree is considered an advantage
