About the Role
Join our Finance team in Lisbon and gain hands-on experience across accounting, financial reporting, and compliance in an international business environment.This role offers a strong foundation for someone looking to build a long-term career in Finance while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and supportive team.
- Location: Alcântara, Lisbon, Portugal
- Working Model: Full-time (40 hours per week) - Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)
- Salary: €23,000 – €25,000 base salary + Medical Insurance
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance Support
- Support daily accounting activities within the Record to Report (R2R) process
- Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and support documentation
- Contribute to month-end closing activities
Data & Reporting
- Extract and validate financial data from ERP systems, including SAP and Cognos
- Support the preparation of financial reports and schedules
- Investigate discrepancies and assist in their resolution
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure appropriate documentation and audit trails for assigned activities
- Support the execution of internal controls and compliance requirements
- Assist with internal and external audit processes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R2R, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C) teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and validate accounting information
- Support the resolution of operational and accounting-related issues
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Up to 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Shared Services, or a similar environment
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication skills in English
- Proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international environment
Preferred
- Experience with SAP, Cognos, or similar ERP and reporting tools
- Exposure to month-end closing activities and account reconciliations
- Previous experience in a Shared Services Centre or multinational company
- Internship or student experience within Finance or Accounting
