ABOUT THE ROLE
We are excited to offer an incredible opportunity for an IT Supporter / IT Operations professional to join Scandinavian Tobacco Group's IT Operations Team. In this role, you will be essential in providing technical support to users and colleagues worldwide, ensuring our systems run smoothly, and contributing to STG's broader efforts toward globalization and standardization within IT Operations.
Your role as a service-minded, proactive, and independent professional is crucial in maintaining reliable IT support across the organization. A key part of your role will involve resolving technical issues efficiently, maintaining knowledge base documentation, and continuously improving how we support users. You will report directly to [insert manager/title].
This role is based in Assens, Denmark.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support to users by researching and resolving issues using Service Hub (TOPdesk). Troubleshoot and manage endpoints using Endpoint Manager, including support related to Active Directory, Azure, Exchange Online (O365), and VPN (Zscaler). Identify problems, research solutions, and guide users and colleagues through corrective actions.
Knowledge & Training:
- Maintain and improve knowledge base documentation. Contribute to training programs by identifying recurring issues and improving instructional content. Support accessibility by recommending appropriate tools or techniques for users with specific needs.
Service & Systems Improvement:
- Ensure compliance with service agreements and IT policies. Identify system performance issues and recommend improvements. Continuously update technical knowledge through training and professional networking. Support IT operations and contribute to broader organizational objectives as required.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?
- Educational Background: Degree or diploma in IT, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk, or system administration, 3+ years
- Solid experience with Active Directory, Office 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, etc.), hardware support (laptops, peripherals), and Endpoint Manager (Intune).
- Good understanding of LAN/network environments and basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with operating systems: Windows 10/11, macOS, and iOS; knowledge of mobile devices (Apple/Android).
- Experience with SAP-related hardware (e.g., scanners) is a plus. Familiarity with office systems, telephony, and point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a service-oriented mindset with a proactive approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team; ability to share knowledge effectively with both team members and end users.
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Assens.
