Senior IT Project Manager

Scandinavian Tobacco Group are transforming the way the Group is organized, working and doing business. Group IT has a pivotal role in enabling the business to succeed with our transformation-programme Fueling the Growth. We are looking for an ambitious Senior IT Project Manager with a global and innovative mindset, to manage large and small projects with strong focus on implementation with shared ownership. You find passion and motivation in maneuvering in a cross-functional environment and have a proactive approach towards strengthening our processes and practices across Group IT and the business.

Your key responsibilities will be to:


  • Experienced in managing very complex business and IT transformations
  • Ability to make complex decisions simple and understandable
  • Develop strong relations in and outside of IT
  • Drive results with a pragmatic approach
  • Take full ownership of all aspects and projects disciplines
  • Inspire the organization (both business and IT) with project methodology and governance
  • Execute and implement all kinds of projects and process improvements – from very small, technical projects, to very large IT/business transformations
  • Build, maintain and execute on IT Project Portfolio
  • People Management – where the potential of project participants is fully leveraged

The Senior IT Project Manager will be a part of our Group IT, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Kenneth Messerschmidt and working out of our head office in Søborg.

What is needed to succeed?
In addition to have a solid theoretical background, e.g. a master degree in IT, you should have at least 5 years of relevant working experience in an international environment. You have demonstrated success in developing and implementing major IT projects on a global scale, based on high business acumen and analytical thinking. Your project management toolbox is obviously top-class, with high technical understanding within ERP, CMS and CRM-systems. You have a strong drive towards delivering results according to plan, are a team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, both across organizations and cultures, and you possess the diplomatic skills to explain, confront and support in a constructively manner. Finally, it is expected that you are fluent in English.
