Driving the industry’s strongest brands in Global Travel Retail

Your role will be to drive and expand our leading position in the Industry at key international operators that serve airports and other travel retail outlets world wide. Your aim is to increase the visibility, availability and ranging of our cigar, pipe tobacco and fine-cut brands to further fuel our ambition to be the category captain in Travel Retail. You will work in close collaboration with the teams of Commercial excellence (COMEX), Sales operations, Brand and local sales entities to increase volumes, market share and profits. Your key responsibilities include:   

  • Build multi-level key account plans based on the strategic agenda to drive the overall business including (but not limited to): Airport operators, Shipping lines, border trade;
  • Drive the execution of the key account plans through application of the Corporate & Brand strategies and COMEX Channel Go-To-Market guidelines;
  • Facilitate excellence in execution in the daily business by forecasting, communicating, anticipating, measuring results consistently and implementing corrective action or learning;
  • Leverage management tools (PowerBI, Cognos, Cube, etc.) and CRM (Sales Force Plus) to analyze data on a variety of critical business drivers;
  • Budget ownership for the assigned customers and effectively manage the financial objectives;
  • Timely communication of approved customer activities, promotional plans, and new item authorizations with S&OP;
  • Ensure that agreed portfolio and visibility programs are executed on retail level and comply with approved trade fund spending.

 

The position will be stationed at our headquarters in Denmark, Søborg – Copenhagen area or in The Netherlands, Eersel – Eindhoven area. For the role you should anticipate travelling 20-25% of your time.

 

Qualifications  

  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in an international FMCG company with a strong exposure in key account management;
  •  Bachelor degree in Marketing, Sales or economics. Master degree preferred;
  • Negotiation experience on strategic key account level and the ability to translate strategy into effective market execution;
  • Strong sense of business acumen, having keenness and speed in understanding and deciding on business situations;
  • Strong analytical skills in order to assess and provide insights on critical business drivers, financial performance and category management.
  • A team player that can challenge, influence and convince both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to work under pressure, think quickly and demonstrate initiative in solving problems
  • Result driven by collaboration and a winning mindset;
  • Outstanding communication skills, proficiency in written and spoken English.  

 

About the International Sales & NBD department

You will be joining the International Sales & NBD department consisting out of 6 dedicated and highly skilled professionals. The department has a world wide responsibility for Travel Retail and New Business Development. It further focusses on the international growth markets in Asia. You will report directly to the Director International sales & NBD.
