Accounting Manager

Position Summary:
Scandinavian Tobacco Group is searchibg for an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting function for our business units in North America.The selected candidate will manage General Accounting to include General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Insurance, and ad hoc Financial Analysis and Reporting.  The Accounting Manager will direct the work of three to four staff members. 


Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Manage month-end close process
  • Manage the general ledger
  • Manage inventory reporting and controls
  • Manage Accounts Payable
  • Manage cash and bank accounts
  • Manage insurance coverage for three US companies
  • Manage fleet vehicles for two US companies
  • Manage Finance policy compliance
  • Intercompany debt
  • Manage Concur travel and employee American Express accounts (set credit limits, send notices)
  • Vendor approval
  • Ad hoc analysis
  • Monthly/Quarterly financial reporting
  • Account reconciliations
  • Assist with the Annual Finance Audit

 

Secondary Duties:

  • Accounting & procedures for restaurant/club
  • Letters of credit
  • Certificates of insurance
  • ACH & wire setup/approval
  • Accounts Payable backup
  • Expense reporting backup (American Express & Concur)
  • Executive benefits invoices & W2
  • 1099 Reporting
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Other duties as required

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in accounting
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant accounting experience
  • At least 3 years of experience managing others
  • MS Excel expertise required
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with associates at all levels of the organization
  • ERP experience
  • Local candidates only; relocation assistance will not be provided
