Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist

As our new Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist you will be responsible for evaluating, maintaining, control and improve on the process and product quality of our suppliers in NTM’s and HTL, while enabling others to excel. You will be part of the global QA team and working closely together with local QA and QC responsibles as well as procurement and pack development.

This is a global role, where you should expect to travel 15% of your time approximately. 


Moreover,  reporting to the Head of Q-EHS & Lean, you will be responsible for:


Incoming Inspection Management:

  • Setup control plans in collaboration with local QA and Incoming goods inspectors
  • Ensure inspection instructions/Checklists are defined and available for incoming inspectors
  • Establish and manage the process for maintaining and storing records at incoming inspection
  • Ensure incoming goods inspectors comply with procedures for inspection, storage of records a Non-conformities characterization
  • Ensure control plans are modified when Non-conformities are detected at incoming goods inspection and on the production line
  • Setup training plans and follow up on training of local incoming goods inspectors


Supplier Non-conformity management

  • Secure in a timely manner strong and complete supplier containment actions plan to secure supply to the manufacturing line
  • Get the correct quantative and qualitive information from manufacturing tom communicate to the supplier.
  • Ensure complete and efficient suppliers root cause analysis and corrective actions to suppliers Non-confomities
  • Organise supplier rework and remedial actions in cooperation with category buyer
  • Assure information for cost of Non-Quality to category buyer 
  • Challenge suppliers to react quickly and correctly to identify and rectify root causes of nonconformities to prevent recurrence


Supplier Quality Performance

  • Prepare reports and supplier quality reviews which are part of overall vendor rating 
  • Monitor and assess suppliers on the effectiveness of improvement plans
  • When required run on-site supplier audits 
  • Maintain and publish KPI’s and identify opportunities for performance improvement
  • Assessment of new suppliers/products in cooperation with procurement and pack development.
  • Lead the journey from incoming goods inspection at STG to perfect quality at the supplier
  • Part of the overall vendor rating


What we are looking for:


  • 3-5 Years of experience in supplier quality assurance running audits and improvement programs
  • Have been working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with various problem solving techniques (6 sigma, 8D, Ishikawa, 5Why, …) especially in a manufacturing environment with machine driven production processes.
  • Bachelor degree
  • Great English language skills
