Brand Activation Manager (Marketing)

Scandinavian Tobacco Group United Kingdom Ltd is a subsidiary with close ties to our global parent company STG A / S. We work closely with our other international units and are responsible for all trade in the United Kingdom and Ireland as well as the Channel Islands. 
The United Kingdom grocery trade in particular is undergoing rapid change within tobacco, which means that you must thrive on change and complexity in everyday life and at the same time not be afraid of the challenges that a category with great focus from the outside world entails. About the role:
As our Marketing Manager, you will have the overall responsibility for operating our category and brand plans. In addition, you are responsible for driving the activation agenda and developing and executing our business plan - all in close collaboration with your team. The development of the plans will be based on consumer, customer and market data as well as trends that must be translated into concrete growth initiatives that create value for our customers and Scandinavian Tobacco Group. You like to inspire your colleagues and are driven by having an influence on the company as well as your own development.


In addition, you must:

  • Run business cases and be able to convey this to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Collect consumer knowledge in collaboration with our Insight department
  • Ensure close collaboration with the other departments, Brand Group Marketing and the UK management team that you will be part of
  • Execute a coherent PR and communications strategy aligned to our portfolio ambitions
  • Set clear goals for your team members as well as ensure development and close follow-up

Being the leading manufacturer of cigars and pipe tobacco requires that we constantly think new and out of the box. Therefore, we are looking for you who, based on your business understanding and experience, can and dare to challenge the way we do things. 


You will be part of an enterprising and exciting company, where you will be challenged and need your strong commercial, analytical, communication and strategic skills.
We will of course ensure you a thorough training, however, it is important that we build on a good base and that you can therefore recognize yourself in the following:

 

  • Strongly commercially driven with a theoretically based background, eg Degree, HND or similar
  • Preferably 1-2 years of experience from a similar position
  • Preferably 1-2 years of management experience
  • Knowledge of AC Nielsen/ IRI is an advantage
  • Super user in the MS Office suite, especially Excel and Power Point

 

As a person, you are outgoing, hardworking, challenging and ambitious. You are good at setting direction and coordinating collaboration as well as following up on tasks - and then you must be able to work independently and take initiative. You have a good understanding of numbers and data and like to work on translating these into concrete actions. Your strong communication skills ensure you companionship and your team understands both direction and goals. In addition, you are focused and dynamic - and your high energy level means that you will always seek to challenge the way we do things.
