Quality Assurance Analyst

We are looking for a passionate individual who is inquisitive, articulate, and functionally minded with keen business instinct and exceptional interpersonal skills to join our Quality Assurance team.  The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for evaluating web applications and back-end systems in order to review functionality and identify defects or potential functional issues; develops and executes test plans (manually); writes test cases and creates UAT hand-off documentation. The Quality Assurance Analyst role will also include defining QA strategies, processes and procedures for effective testing

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will develop functional testing documentation and test cases for web and AX projects, among other assigned duties. You will partner to work closely with different departments such as IT, Merchandizing, Design and Marketing to understand the functional requirements, test and validate that software is functioning properly

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review requirements and specifications docs to understand the application functionality
  • Create detailed test plans that are well structured.
  • Conduct testing through various features and provide feedback through reports.
  • Troubleshoot issues and investigate issue reported by customers.
  • Develop all manual testing activities related to software development
  • Partner with IT, business teams and offshore teams to write test plans based on the functionality being delivered
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify functional gaps and communicate the issues to the development teams
  • Work closely with the onshore and offshore development teams in resolving functional issues
  • Manage all test environments, test devices, browsers and OS versions required for testing
  • Work in an Agile environment, showcasing reporting skills
  • Support production deployments with postproduction functional testing

 

Key Competencies/Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of experience as a quality assurance tester
  • At least 2+ years of experience working in the retail technology field
  • Strong functional knowledge of the web & mobile applications
  • Understand the basic functionality of end to end ecommerce / retail application development cycle
  • Hands on experience with AX is a plus
