Merchandising Coordinator

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Merchandising Coordinator. In this position, your focus will be on the relationship between our products and our customers. This work includes writing copy, optimizing product landing pages and product presentation, perfecting and reimagining the customer shopping experience, managing time-sensitive sales offers, and spearheading short-term and long-term tasks focused on improving our team and website as a whole. The ideal candidate is incredibly creative, enjoys the cigar lifestyle, relishes the opportunity to create, and has a keen eye for aesthetics and how they relate to the consumer buying experience. In all, the Merchandising Coordinator will not only maintain the products and sales we already hold, but will also engage in forward-thinking, innovative activities to improve our online business wherever possible.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work to optimize the online aspects of the brand including, but not limited to, email sales and communication, product landing pages, time-oriented deals, etc.
  • Manage and merchandise across various business platforms
  • Drive new sales opportunities with our Marketing team and our external vendors
  • Work effectively with our Design department to create and check the ideal graphics to accompany our sales
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with the other departments and entities
  • Act as a resource to our Contact Center and Retail Stores for product related information and to help answer customer inquiries 
  • Balance short term, deadline-driven tasks against larger-scale projects
  • Help to ensure all promotions and campaigns are executed on-time, function as expected, and are designed with the ease of the customer in mind
  • Be a motivated self-starter who relishes the opportunity to be challenged every day
  • Have strong skills in Excel to thrive in our data and analysis-rich business
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required

 

 

Experience:

  • BA or BS in sales, marketing or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an ecommerce or equivalent setting preferred
  • Ability to learn complex computer systems quickly
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis for writing sales copy
  • Previous experience in the tobacco industry preferred, but not required
