Continuous Improvement Analyst

The Continuous Improvement Analyst will work to remove waste and low-value activities by using LEAN methodologies, while recommending solutions. In addition, this position will take the lead in implementing changes, acting as a leader/mentor for continuous and LEAN improvements, throughout different areas of the operation while being responsible for process innovation. This position requires someone experienced in both analytics and project coordination as well as the ability to use problem solving skills to foresee obstacles and make strategic decisions. We are in the process of implementing a labor management system. This position will be the owner of the project from implementation to execution.


Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Analyze existing business processes using various methods such as gap analysis, PDSA, or DMAIC.
  • Lead and facilitate LEAN/process improvement-based workshops to drive ideas and solutions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a “best-in-class” continuous improvement strategy
  • Develop strategic plans and timelines for process improvement
  • Establish measurable standards at the start of a project and compare actual project results against these, while regularly generating detailed update report for management
  • Trains warehouse leadership in quality improvement tools and techniques such as Lean, PDSAs, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, and other methodologies
  • Participates and leads various projects, work groups, and team meetings to ensure achievement outcomes, objectives, timetables, and overall integration of best practices
  • Actively participates in available education and training programs to increase understanding of continuous improvement
  • Subject matter expert of newly implemented labor management system
  • All other duties as assigned



  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies (ex: PDSA model, Lean Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)
  • Ability to set up, facilitate and lead CI sessions with a range of business stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • A completer/finisher who takes accountability to ideas from inception to delivery, in an environment that requires robust metrics to confirm success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of managers and subject matter experts
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years proven continuous improvement analytical experience from a similar role
